StrikesAndSpares is a producer of digital watch movements based in Dortmund, Germany. The company has been founded as a part time business in 1999 by Hanno Gollek. * At the very beginning StrikesAndSpares sold refurbished boards for pinball games, specialized in Bally solid state machines. Soon the company was also known as an expert in reviving hard to repair Gottlieb System1 and System80 series games. Services for arcade machines, juke boxes and bowling alleys followed.

In 2006 StrikesAndSpares invented the world´s first digital watch movement based on a standard microcontroller chip - The SASM10.
The SASM10 prototype module is the world´s first digital wristwatch module running with a standard, high production volume microcontroller.
* In 2013 StrikesAndSpares successfully repaired the first Pulsar P1 with Electro Data movement. This watch is now the only known working specimen with E/D module.

* StrikesAndSpares opened watch service points in the US and in Canada. Customers in North America are now able to get a watch serviced in their home country.
* The SASM60 is the heart of the #HGWC Drivers watch and the first SASM movement which does not replace vintage circuitry.

* In May of 2016, StrikesAndSpares sold its 700th SASM17/27 module. Pulsar P2 Tiffany & Co with SASM17 module
* In December of 2016, StrikesAndSpares launched the new SASM42/43 series for Bulova N6 and N7 driver watches and the SASM39 for Bulova LED watches with Mostek Chip.
* In January of 2017, the SASM21 becomes available. The SASM21 is a circuit which replaces the electronic part of the Beta21 - the first swiss quartz movement which was placed in famous watches such as the Omega Electroquartz f8192Hz. It also is the first non - LED replacement module of StrikesAndSpares. |
